Extol Wind is the first Indian company to independently develop technology for megawatt wind turbines. Our wind turbine 'EX-55' is also amongst world's first advance technology gearless machine to achieve the latest quality standards GL2010 (Germanisher Lloyd, Germany). The one megawatt turbine is certified by TUV Nord, Germany. With new generation technology and in-house manufacturing of components, Extol is fast emerging as a significant player in the wind energy industry. We provides one point solution to customer needs including manufacturing, wind farms and wind energy services.
Extol Wind has tie ups with the world’s leading component suppliers that ensure highest standards of quality. The renowned names include Saertex (Germany), Mita-Teknik (Denmark), Ingeteam (Spain), Momentive (USA), Bonfiglioli (Italy), SvendBorg (Denmark), Rothe Erde(Germany), Bakker Magnetics (Netherlands), Diab etc.
The strength of our technology enables us to design as per local conditions and incorporate necessary corrections. Extol Wind direct drive platform (1 MW,2.5 MW) turbines are high performance machines specially suited for extreme weather and dusty conditions. The turbines with gearless, variable speed, permanent magnet generator have many technological advancements in design and control.
The turbines have minimum number of wearing parts and a compact design which reduces maintenance and minimizes energy losses. This save energy which is usually wasted as heat & frictional losses, in coolant circulation, generator excitation and gear box. The energy comes as an additional return on investments.
Xyron... The technology leaders
Xyron a part of Extol Wind, adds in-house capabilities of design and development to the group. Xyron is the first in the world to develop turbines as per GL2010 guidelines. It is among few players of the world to develop its own proprietary technology for megawatt series Wind Turbines. Xyron has tie ups with the world leader M/s Germanaichher Lloyds of Hamburg, Germany and TUV Nord for the certification of its wind turbines.
